Dr. Arun Sharma
Dr. Arun Sharma is an accomplished academician and Associate Professor at Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh. With over 11 years of combined industry and academic experience, he has significantly contributed to legal education and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms. Dr. Sharma completed his Ph.D. in Law in 2023, focusing on “Mediation as an Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanism – A Need of Renaissance in India by Referral Study of USA.” Under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Rakhi Singh Chouhan (India) and Prof. (Dr.) Sukhsimranjit Singh (California, USA), his research has paved the way for advancements in mediation practices in India.
Dr. Sharma began his career as an advocate at the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Central Administrative Tribunal, Family Court, and District Courts before transitioning to academia. A certified Mediator, he has been recognized for his exceptional contributions to mediation, including accolades from Justice Rohit Arya of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. His research and publications span critical areas such as Mediation, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Criminal Laws, Foreign Direct Investment, Press Freedom, and ADR mechanisms in India, with his work featured in esteemed UGC CARE and Scopus-indexed journals.
An active participant in national and international forums, Dr. Sharma has served as a panel member and chairperson for technical sessions in National Conferences. He has presented on diverse themes, including sustainable development, legal education, and competition laws. Dr. Sharma has delivered webinars and lectures on topics such as intellectual property rights, fundamental duties, fundamental rights, the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), the Constitution of India, and the Law of Evidence (Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam), showcasing his thoughtful leadership and passion for legal education.
Known for his engaging teaching methods, he leverages digital platforms and innovative tools to deliver practical and interactive learning experiences. He also organizes a variety of co-curricular activities, including Model United Nations, National Mediation Competitions, National Conferences, Moot Court Competitions, Seminars, and Debates. Through these initiatives, he fosters a well-rounded educational environment for his students, encouraging them to develop diverse skills and engage in meaningful learning experiences.
Beyond academia, Dr. Sharma serves on various committees, including the Anti-Ragging Monitoring Committee, Tribal development committee, Examination Committee, Legal literacy club and contributes to advisory boards of legal forums. He serves as the Vice President of RMS Blood Help Organization (NGO), which is dedicated to helping those in need of blood across India. Additionally, he is a life member of the Indian Red Cross Society, further exemplifying his commitment to societal welfare and making him a true man of society.
