Prof. (Dr.) Rakhi Singh Chouhan
Prof. (Dr.) Rakhi Singh Chouhan is a seasoned academician and legal professional with over 22 years of experience, including 14 years as an advocate and 7.5 years in regular teaching. She currently serves as a Professor and Director at Chandigarh Law College, Chandigarh Group of Colleges formerly she also served as a Professor and Deputy Director at Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior. Dr. Chouhan is a PhD holder from Barkatullah University, Bhopal, with an exemplary academic record, including a Gold Medal in her LL.M.
She has extensive experience in academia, having previously worked at institutions such as Dr. KNK Law College, Ratlam, and various universities as a guest lecturer. Her legal practice includes expertise in writs and criminal cases, developed during her years as an advocate at the High Court of Madhya Pradesh.
Dr. Chouhan has actively contributed to academic and professional forums through numerous research papers, seminars, and workshops. She has presented and published works on topics ranging from intellectual property law and environmental justice to consumer protection and competition law. She has also served as a keynote speaker, panelist, and coordinator for various national and international legal forums.
A prolific contributor to academic and public discourse, she is a member of multiple editorial boards, advisory committees, and research bodies. Her leadership roles include heading the Pro Bono Club and Mediation Cell at Amity Law School under the auspices of the Department of Justice and the Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority.
Dr. Chouhan is a trained Mediator and was honored with the award of Top Performing Mediator by the Madhya Pradesh High Court. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the ‘Best Teacher of the Year’ (2017), ‘Most Influential Women of Madhya Pradesh’ (2019), and ‘The Phenomenal She’ by the Indian National Bar Association (2023). Her athletic achievements complement her professional accolades, with medals in state and university-level sports events.
